What do you look for in a pair of jeans? Fit… Style… Comfort… All of the above? Well mark this day ladies. Or rather, 3 weeks from this day, when Talbots launches its new Premium Denim Collection – a labor of love 9 months and numerous double expressos in the making! The result? 4 Fabulous Fits, 8 one-of-a-kind washes, and one incredible fashion shoot with 12 real women.

i look for strategic attention to the hips, meaning, a designer who remembers that most women have them. and not teeny tiny bird-bone hips or mere gestures of hips, but real, sizeable hips, hips that can wow a room. in a good way. when jeans get the hips right, it’s a beautiful thing. imho.
I rarely wear jeans. I do like that there are women of different ages and sizes in this photo shoot, though!
Hi the August Vogue has a picture of an outfit with a Talbots leopard haircalf bag that costs 159.00. i checked the lookbook and don’t see it. Do you know whey it can be expected in store or online. I have to have it.

I am told it will be in store in August. So only a few weeks of waiting!
I already love all my denim from Talbots, so I can’t wait for some new washes!!! Most of the pairs I own are from Feb 09, those were some fabulous washes, and there hasn’t been a whole lot of variety since then, so I am excited to see what is new!!
I look for jeans that look slightly dressy so i can toss them on with a plain tee and still look nice, and not like a teenager!
I’m looking forward to the new denim launch. Keeping my fingers crossed that something in the line will fit my pear shaped body. Small waist big bottom.
I look for versatility in jeans so that I can either dress them up or down. I can then go from day to night easily with just a few accessory changes. By the way, I love these behind-the-scenes photos. I just watched the behind-the-scenes video that you posted and was scrolling through the rest of your postings when I came upon these. They are great. You should include links that connect the two postings.
I agree with Desert Flower and like the diversity of women but not only in the age and size sense but also in terms of ethnic background. Has Talbots ever depicted African-American and Asian women before?
Also, I love Mark Abrahams’ work. I’m glad to know Abrahams and Talbots collaborated. I’m now realizing that he took the current storefront shots and they are beautiful.
Talbots seems to be on the track of success. Kudos to Michael Smaldone!
